the Church of Racophobia

While racism is a very real phenomenon, it seems nowadays to be moreso a tool used alongside accusations of phobias or fear of the unknown to achieve political and cultural advantage.

While police profiling is the practical application of what is, a conditioning of repetitive exposures and experience, certain politicians around the world seem to think of their countries as the welcoming Church without embracing or endorsing the churches themselves.  It is our duty to oppose all tyranny and thwart any and all plots to overthrow or replace us in an apocalyptic future.  Keeping the faith should be a Canadian counterplot.  For many people, fear of the unknown is becoming rage against what is become known about certain cultures.  Let us not allow the deceivers to destroy our culture with slanderous subterfuge any longer.

     Homework is good.

Ravenous album release

Nostalgia.  Already?  With the purchase of Daft Punk's 'Homework' album at a CD+ store in the local mall, I was given a flyer to a party that was happening at a night club named Crabby Mike's.  This was the first of several experiences with the disco revival that happened back in the early 2000s.  Rave parties minus any drugs were a positive experience for me as the volume of the music drown out all schizophrenia distractions.

The Ravenous album composed here defines not only the pun of being at a rave.  Upon doing some homework of my own, the meaning today refers to mainly that of being hungry or starved, as in a ravenous appetite.  Further back in time, ravenous meant someone greedy for unjust gain or riches, such as a pirate.  Might not be too far off in our time as well.

Mastering one's body

The apostle Paul (Saul) did not share in the loving fellowship of Christ Jesus as He walked the earth, and though the apostle Peter described Paul's teachings as essentially confusing, his letters seem to flow with the narrative of God's direction.  It is much easier and more Christ like to focus on the teachings of the apostles that did share in Christ's fellowship.  Firsthand experience with the shunning practices of the Watchtower society and similar movements, combined with the collective outcries of others fated with such cruelty, are examples of the twisting of the scriptures warned about in Peter's epistle.

Thanks for the memory, of candle light and crime

After scouring the internet for photos of the old newspaper building, I’ve determined that this building must have been deemed sacred as there were none to be found.  Having worked in and for this building during many of my teenager years, the description no longer exists.  Such is the plight of so many a stolen job or opportunity lost to the invasions of technology and immigration.  Hope I don’t get in trouble for this one...

School art @ Alberta Deep Freeze

The appreciation behind school art shows is in that there is not too much importance placed on the artwork (idolatry) and the nostalgia for high school art classes.  During an arctic front deep freeze, we decided to visit the Interpretive Centre of Police Point Park in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.  Find the beauty in every season.

House Arrest album release

Open to a large variety of musical genres, one of the few that manage to irk this artist is the common house beat.  Nevertheless, here is an album that embraces it to a degree, featuring recently composed tunes along with tunes made in times past, near and far.  'Afx Systems', a moniker to the Aphex Systems line of electronic sound enhancer components, was composed in the latter part of the 2000s.  'House Arrest' and 'Drive Thru', much like COVID, are recent arrivals with the 15 minute conclusion 'Halo (slowrider)' being made in 2021 and recently finished for release.

Sort of a Xmas album release

Sort of a Christmas album marks new beginnings of various sorts.  Not only is it a time of year where we begin to understand the rewards and punishments that stem from our behavior, but the album itself marks two beginnings for this artist, namely the self taught practice of the ins and outs of two different versions of the music program used to create these works.  The first and last song were created in previous decades whereas the three kit songs were the beginning of my understanding the intricacies of the modern music program which made these releases possible.  Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

the Bad Omen Lands

The word badlands is a calque from the Canadian French phrase les mauvaises terres, as the early French fur traders called the White River badlands les mauvaises terres a traverser or 'bad lands to traverse', perhaps influenced by the Lakota people who moved there in the late 1700s and who referred to the terrain as mako sica, meaning 'bad land' or 'eroded land'.  - Wikipedia

Hiking the Badlands in mid December might be a bad omen of drought to come.

Go to Town (Seasons) - new images of the Redcliff Badlands added to the collection of images available as digital downloads and prints.

Further adventures in redaction criticism PHDs

It is next to impossible to scientifically verify metaphysics with all the metaphysical beings and prophecy.  While the book of Revelation with all the speculation it brings can sow division and paranoia, it can also bode of a better future and lessons from the past.  Take for instance the well known article about the wild beast antichrist bearing the number 666.

This calls for wisdom.  Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.  That number is 666.  - Revelation 13:8

King Solomon of Israel was the author of the book of Proverbs.  He was renowned for his wisdom and never to be matched wealth.  In it he wrote:

There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
        haughty eyes,
        a lying tongue,
        hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.  - Proverbs 6:16-19

The similarity to history's villains and their movements are open to speculation as to who this could apply to, if not portending of one yet to come.

Killing in the name of...

In acknowledging the way, the truth, the life, Jesus Christ; many today have resorted to sidelining Him in their prayer in what could be considered a vanity prayer.  The only way to the Father through Jesus Christ His Son means addressing or praying to/through Jesus Christ His Son (John 14:6).  Unfortunately the basic tenets of Christianity, namely admitting Christ is God (Romans 10:9), are seemingly being lost.  Prophetically in the sermon on the mount, it was foretold of such a mentality and how it would be received:

Midnight Madness 2023

The jubilation of the shopping season is upon us.  Friday November 17 saw the Midnight Madness festivity in downtown Medicine Hat.  Hat's off to the incredible brilliance and originality of jokes of today's Hatters.  Featured here is video footage of the Rockefeller tree lighting and ice sculpting.

In the Spirit of Xmas and in keeping Christ in Christmas, look to the evidence within the gospel when determining sides in today's wars:

In other news, this community in Park Meadows Lane puts on an all in Christmas lighting display each year.  Donations go halfway to the food bank and halfway to maintaining the display.

Stock Market Coffee House

Chalk full of interesting insights and valuable knowledge, these history books are always a delight to read through.  Here we learn of the origins of the Stock Market, although with all the seemingly market manipulation of today's market, they must be getting their coffee in the form of junk food at Starbucks.

Understanding the enemy

I have long felt that the Nazi Germany of the 1930s and 40s were akin to a Muslim Europe.  The obvious similarities in the bestial hatred of Jews and the militarism between the two are compound.  If you have time to read, here is an interesting Wikipedia article dwelling on the subject; or press the photo for a history of how Palestine came to be displaced by Israel.
